No one should have to choose between disc golf and their education.

We’re going to stop that. Permanently.

Take a moment and think about the infrastructure that exists for any other sport – take soccer, for example. Kids get involved when they’re young, they might play in leagues or for their high school, and then (if they’re good enough) they get a chance to apply to scholarships to potentially finance their education.

If disc golf is going to grow at the speed that we hope it does, that infrastructure needs to start growing, too.

Other aspects of that infrastructure have started to grow, including disc golf clubs existing at the high school and college levels. The Ulibarri Leadership Foundation exists to bridge that gap – allowing high school athletes to pursue disc golf as a means towards the next step in their education.

The Ulibarri Leadership Foundation empowers college-bound disc golf athletes to pursue higher education through the granting of scholarships based on academic achievement, athletic excellence, sportsmanlike manner, and financial need.
